Harbour Security Specialist

Our organization requires a skilled Security Manager to oversee the overall security strategy, planning and implementation on our harbour-based construction site. This includes protecting personnel, materials, equipment, and the site itself from threats such as theft, vandalism, unauthorized access and environmental hazards.

The role requires close coordination with port authorities, maritime security agencies, contractors and local law enforcement. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive security plan tailored to a marine construction environment.

1. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability studies to identify potential threats.
2. Coordinate with harbor/port authorities to ensure compliance with maritime security regulations.
3. Establish and manage site access control measures, including vehicle and personnel identification procedures.
4. Oversee the installation and monitoring of surveillance systems, fencing, lighting and alarm systems.
5. Lead and manage on-site security personnel, including scheduling, training and supervision.
6. Respond to and investigate security incidents, accidents or breaches.
7. Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
8. Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to enforce safety and security protocols.
9. Develop emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
10. Liaise with local law enforcement, coast guard, customs and other relevant stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 5 years of security management experience, preferably on large-scale or infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in harbour/marine or high-risk construction environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of maritime security protocols and international port security standards is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with security technology systems is beneficial.
