Muscat University invites applications for a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer position in Engineering to join our Faculty of Engineering and Technology. We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to manage and support the delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, foundation, and executive programmes.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for teaching undergraduate energy engineering and postgraduate renewable energy engineering modules, laboratory development, supervision, and supporting relevant programmes in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Preference will be given to candidates with administrative experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality teaching experiences in foundation, undergraduate, laboratory, pre-masters, postgraduate, and executive programmes.
• Ensure all necessary content and materials are in place for degree programmes on time.
• Liaise with the faculty Director on student matters and timetable planning, managing module timetables, content, and resource areas.
• Initiate learning activities that reflect the needs and contemporary currency of the subject, fostering group dynamics and peer learning.
• Engage with students and demonstrators during laboratory sessions to ensure high understanding levels.
• Monitor student voice through meetings, surveys, and reviews, liaising with the Faculty Director to address dissatisfaction or issues.
• Formulate and coordinate Final Year Projects and Theses to ensure consistency and rigor.
• Support recruitment activities through Open Days, external events, and interviews.
• Maintain flexible working patterns to support Programme/Faculty/University business.
• Engage with businesses, professional bodies, schools, colleges, communities, and enterprises to enhance the student experience and facilitate industrial placement.
