As part of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences that showcase the rich flavors and traditions of Arabic cuisine.
About the RoleThis senior kitchen position requires an experienced leader who can inspire and motivate their team to deliver high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent culinary skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of traditional Arabic cooking methods.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Develop and maintain menus that showcase authentic Arabic dishes, while also incorporating international flavors as needed.
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, with a focus on promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with staff and guests in English and Arabic to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in all kitchen areas, adhering to local regulations and best practices.
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage management team to plan menus, budgets, and promotions that drive sales growth.
- Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and order in the kitchen at all times, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Participate in the hiring and performance evaluation of kitchen personnel, contributing to the development of a high-performing team.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Arabic and Middle Eastern cuisine, with a focus on innovative and creative menu development.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
