We are seeking an exceptional software engineer to join our team. As a leading provider of open source software and operating systems, we deliver innovative solutions to the global enterprise and technology markets.

Our development team builds and operates large-scale backend services that power our marketplaces. Our services are built primarily in Python, with some Golang. We face challenges such as scaling our production architecture, expanding software delivery, and enhancing our offering for IoT and Enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate remotely with a globally distributed team to design and implement new features and enhancements from spec to production at scale.
  • Review code and technical designs produced by other engineers.
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing public-facing APIs and web applications using Python.
  • Broad technology base, favoring backend code and infrastructure.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases and designing data models.
  • Comfortable with Ubuntu as a development and deployment platform.
  • Strong academic performance in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Curious, flexible, articulate, accountable, and passionate about technology.
