Job Description-

Job Title: Wire Straightening Machine Operator

Location: Oman

Basic Salary: OMR + Visa+ Ticket & Accommodation

Employment Type: Full-time

Duty hours- 10hrs +2hr daily OT

Key Responsibilities-

  1. Machine Setup & Operation

· Check wire diameter according to the required Work Order (WO).

· Perform Pay-Off loading and ensure smooth feeding of wire into the machine.

· Operate forklift safely for material loading and handling.

· Carry out die setting and adjustment based on the wire diameter.

· Set and maintain the Wire Cutting Die (Blade) gap (not more than 4 mm).

· Perform blade sharpening every 2 days or as required.

  1. Production & Quality Control

· Set cutting length as per production requirements.

· Operate the wire straightening and cutting machine efficiently to achieve daily production targets.

Inspect wire quality regularly to ensure:

  • No burrs

  • No bends

  • Clean and accurate edges

· If burrs or bends appear, follow corrective actions as per machine setup guidelines (refer to die/ blade settings described in point 4).

  1. Maintenance & Housekeeping

· Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.

· Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.

· Maintain tools, dies, and blades in good working condition.

· Ensure the work area is clean and organized at all times.

  1. Safety & Compliance

· Follow all safety rules and operational procedures.

· Ensure proper PPE usage during all activities.

· Operate the forklift strictly following safety guidelines.

  1. Cross-Department Support

· Work in other departments if required or when production in the primary area is not available.

Skills & Qualifications

· Experience operating a wire straightening/ cutting machine preferred.

· Knowledge of die setting, blade sharpening, and machine adjustments.

· Ability to operate a forklift.
