Staff Nurse

As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the healthcare team. You will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to all patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and established clinical procedures.
• Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document all care accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries, and assist during these as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on ongoing health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by following infection control and safety standards.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and is used safely.
• Record patient information, vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Support patients emotionally and psychologically, particularly those facing critical or chronic health conditions.
• Adhere to ethical nursing practices and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• License: Valid Nursing License from home country. Candidates with Oman Prometric and Dataflow will be given preference.
• Language Skills: Good communication skills in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an added advantage.
• Must be able to work under pressure and in fast-paced hospital settings.
• Ability to handle a variety of patients, conditions, and medical equipment with professionalism and care.
• Must be flexible to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
