Senior Engineer Electro Mechanical

Role Purpose
To provide management, operation, maintenance, fault attendance, fault clearance & other power related support to Infrastructure Services department. Maintain essential equipment and components, focusing on sustainability, perfection, harmony, safety, and optimal use of the available resources. Optimum skills include team management, project management and technical expertise. Working with teams and emerging. This Job Role is a local function and will perform mostly in-site activities for the other Operations functions.

Minimum Role Requirements

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree of engineering in relevant filed.
• Experience: 6-8 years of total work experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Reviews and recommends dimensioning of power systems and equipment based on business forecasts and operational trends
• Analyses and keeps abreast with new technologies/trends in order to improve the infrastructure consistency, efficiency and cost optimization
• Develops and implements processes, procedures and working methods for the department to ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines as well as legislative rules and regulations
• Based on the forecast supports to prepare budget for addressing the identified issues
• Provides the detailed list of upcoming requirements such as replacement of obsolete systems, upgrade of the existing systems, etc
• Identifies & provides the details of systems that required to be upgraded
• Tracks, monitors and controls the team KPIs and daily tasks. Provides reports on monthly basis especially for maintenance works.
• Prepares maintenance, on call, stand-by duty schedules, and circulates the same to the teams
• In 100% compliance to Omantel PPM Process, plans the required PPM schedule and ensures that the plan is executed by the teams and contractors with 100% accuracy/success.
• Follows the fault clearance with the teams and report the progress to the management
• Attends ATP and provide observations and recommendations
• In coordination with the contractors and the teams, establishes a proper database of the sites & equipment
• Suggests and implements the ways and means to improve the existing working procedures
• Oversees all preventive and corrective maintenance works
• Organizes and conducts field management surveillance, audits, and assessments
• Provides technical support to field teams to achieve best team results in terms of PM & CM
• Conducts energy inspections of the sites and suggest the ideas of energy saving
• Supports the organization in improving OPEX by making necessary recommendations and controlling measure
• Liaises with Omantel NOC for 24-hour for network related issues
• Management of spare parts and coordination of the associated logistics, performing regular update of Spare parts DB
• Supporting and managing sub-contractor works.
• Assists in the preparation of OPEX & CAPEX budget for Infrastructure Services
• Prepares Preventive Maintenance schedules, follows the approved process and procedures of Omantel and with the support of teams and contractors performs Preventive and Corrective Maintenance works
• Develops and maintains database of relevant systems & equipment
• Coordinates with the maintenance contractors and makes sure the maintenance works have been carried out based on the scope and process
• With the help of field team monitors the capacity and load of all relevant HVAC systems on regular basis through standardized reporting to identify expansion requirements in advance
• Conducts site surveys alone or with the teams to collect information for finalizing the scope of works
• Site supervision, acceptance testing & certification
• Evaluates existing electro-mechanical systems, identify potential issues, and carry out corrective actions to mitigate risks
• Verification of as-built quantities and certification of PAC & FAC.
• Documentation of maintenance works, faults, and equipment and reporting
• Supports in day-to-day activities of the teams to ensure compliance with specified policies and procedures
• Identifies potential areas of improvement in existing policies and procedures with Engineers and make suitable recommendations
• Makes sure all teams are following and adhered to operations standards
