Role Description

This is a contract on-site role for a Senior Specialist in Economics, based in Muscat. The Senior Specialist will analyze economic data and prepare financial models to support decision-making for energy projects. Responsibilities include building business cases, conducting cost analyses, forecasting, and advising on economic strategies to optimize project performance. The role also involves presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and staying updated with energy market trends and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in economic analysis, financial modeling, and cost forecasting.
  • Strong skills in data interpretation, analytics, and creating actionable insights.
  • Experience in energy markets, project investment analysis, and decision-making processes.
  • Proven ability to present findings and strategies to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the E&P industry and knowledge of relevant economic software tools are highly beneficial.
