Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated HSE Officer to join their team in Oman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the HSE policies, procedures, and rules established by OETC, updating where necessary to meet evolving standards and regulations.
  • Advise management and staff on all applicable HSE legislation and monitor for compliance across operations.
  • Manage the performance of HSE-related activities in line with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits and inspections across various geographic locations as required.
  • Support the audit preparation and execution, validate audit reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of HSE training programs within the entity to ensure knowledge and competence.
  • Promote the use of modern tools and methodologies in the development of Health & Safety training programs.
  • Drive the implementation of strategies that achieve HSE goals, demonstrating strategic thinking and foresight.
  • Foster strong leadership and commitment from all departments towards HSE compliance and awareness.
  • Utilize both traditional and electronic communication platforms to enhance HSE engagement (communication competence).
  • Collect, analyze, and report monthly HSE statistics from all ongoing projects, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and manage HSE programs to maintain a safe working environment in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a closely related field.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in HSE roles, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, or energy sectors.
  • Must be currently based in OMAN
  • Certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, or IIRSM.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Dynamic and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in safety initiatives.
