About the Role

We are looking for an experienced
QA/QC Engineer (Welding & Coating)
to join our team in the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in welding inspection, coating inspection, and quality assurance practices, ensuring all activities meet project specifications and international standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in QA/QC within the oil and gas industry
  • Valid Welding Inspector qualification (TWI/CSWIP)
  • Preferably ASNT Level II in UT, RT, MPI, DPI and/or VT as per SNT-TC-1A 1992
  • Preferably Painting Inspector certification (NACE/SSPC or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to discuss quality matters with company representatives
  • Excellent computer and presentation skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Quality Plan, ITPs, QA/QC procedures, and related documentation prior to project execution
  • Monitor and witness contractors' welding, inspection, and testing activities to ensure compliance with approved plans and procedures
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and codes
  • Prepare WPS, WQR, and manage welders' qualification records
  • Review and verify material certificates against codes and specifications
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of welding consumables
  • Monitor and control all quality-related site activities
  • Coordinate quality-related correspondence with company representatives
  • Conduct inspections of welding processes, joints, and coating applications in line with ASME, AWS, API, and NACE standards
  • Inspect and verify coating applications, ensuring compliance with NACE, SSPC, ISO, ASTM, and project requirements
  • Ensure full compliance with company quality standards and project specifications
