The Showroom Controller is responsible for supporting the management of the sales operations of the dealership. This job is responsible to oversee the sales transactions, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with dealership policies.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyse the financial performance of the dealership, including sales revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare regular sales reports, and forecasts to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct thorough analysis of sales data, market trends, and customer behaviour to identify areas for growth.
- Oversee the sales process from beginning to end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with dealership policies and legal regulations.
- Engage with potential customers to understand their automotive needs, provide information about available vehicles, and offer suitable options to generate sales.
- Utilise persuasive selling techniques to close deals and achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Review sales contracts and agreements to verify terms, pricing, and incentives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any financial or operational discrepancies related to sales transactions.
- Work closely with the inventory manager to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of vehicle inventory.
- Monitor vehicle aging and coordinate with the sales team to implement effective strategies for inventory turnover and profitability.
- Assist in conducting physical inventory counts and reconciling with system records.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage sales team to establish and achieve sales goals, providing financial insights and guidance.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years of experience in automotive sales management.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales team
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field
