About the Role

We are looking for a
Condition Monitoring Senior Engineer
to join Vale Oman and play a vital role in enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our pelletising and distribution facilities. This role focuses on
predictive maintenance and vibration diagnostics
of rotating equipment, ensuring long-term asset performance and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programmes across critical assets (motors, gearboxes, compressors, pumps, fans, conveyors).
  • Conduct advanced
    vibration analysis
    (FFT, waveform, envelope spectra, orbit analysis, Bode plots).
  • Utilize NDT techniques such as Ultrasound, Thermography, and Oil Analysis to validate root causes.
  • Prepare detailed diagnostic reports, dashboards, and RCA findings.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians in condition monitoring techniques.
  • Collaborate with reliability, maintenance, and operations teams to drive equipment health improvements.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies including IoT and predictive analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in mechanical or Reliability Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 8–10 years' experience in predictive maintenance and condition monitoring in heavy industry (mining, oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing).
  • ISO 18436 certifications: Vibration Analysis Cat III (mandatory), Lubrication Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection.
  • Experience with SKF, Dynamox, Emerson, or Pruftechnik systems.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
