We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Organic Date Tree Worker to join our team on our organic farm in Barka. The successful candidate will be responsible for the care and maintenance of approximately 180 date trees over two sites, ensuring healthy growth and high-quality fruit production in line with organic farming standards. In addition to farm duties, the role includes driver and security responsibilities to support daily farm operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Care for and maintain approximately 180 date trees, including irrigation, pruning, fertilization (organic methods), and pest management.
  • Monitor tree health and report any issues such as disease or pest infestations.
  • Assist with date harvesting, sorting, and packaging as needed.
  • Operate and maintain farm tools, equipment, and irrigation systems.
  • Perform occasional driving duties for farm-related transport (deliveries, personnel, materials, supplies, etc.).
  • Perform security duties of the farm premises, equipment, and property during two night shifts or as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records of farm activities and report to the farm manager.
  • Follow all organic farming guidelines, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Omani National (mandatory).
  • Previous experience in agriculture, particularly in date palm farming, is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of organic farming practices preferred.
  • Valid Omani driving license (light vehicle required; additional licenses are an advantage).
  • Good physical condition and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, honest, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic communication and reporting skills.
