Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to serve as the Principal, the chief academic and administrative head of the school. The Principal will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of school operations, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, guiding instructional excellence, and ensuring smooth day-to-day management. The role requires close collaboration with teachers, staff, students, families, and the broader community to promote academic success, holistic development, and institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Provide strategic and inspirational leadership to promote student achievement and continuous school improvement.
• Establish and enforce school policies in alignment with the School Management Committee, Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, and Ministry of Education regulations.
• Oversee teacher and staff performance, professional growth, and appraisal through effective supervision and evaluation.

Instructional Oversight

• Lead curriculum development and ensure implementation of effective teaching strategies.
• Promote professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
• Monitor and analyze student achievement data to guide instructional decisions.

Student Support & Discipline

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate.
• Oversee student discipline and implement behavioral and emotional support strategies.
• Foster social-emotional learning and student well-being.

Operations & Budget

• Manage school budgets, resources, and scheduling effectively.
• Coordinate the maintenance of facilities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Community Engagement

• Build and sustain strong partnerships with parents and the wider community.
• Represent the school at official meetings, community events, and public forums.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including parents, district officials, and the Indian diaspora.

Specific Role & Responsibilities

• Provide visionary academic and administrative leadership for both CBSE and Cambridge streams.
• Lead curriculum delivery, quality assurance, student performance, and innovation in teaching-learning.
• Supervise overall school operations, policy implementation, and compliance with educational standards.
• Inspire and mentor staff to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, the Indian community, and regulatory authorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Age: Preferably above 45 years.
• Qualification: Postgraduate degree with B.Ed. or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 15 years in teaching and academic leadership, with a minimum of 710 years as Principal/Vice Principal in a reputed CBSE and/or Cambridge school.

• Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in curriculum planning, school operations, and faculty development.

• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and manage large educational institutions.

• Demonstrated success in leading schools with multicultural and diverse student populations.

• Commitment: Willingness to relocate to Oman and serve the Indian expatriate community with dedication.
