We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
COST CONTROLLER
to join our Contracts & Commercial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitor, and control project costs from inception to completion, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role requires hands-on experience with
CCS Candy
software for estimation, cost coding, and cost control processes

Key Responsibilities

1 Cost Estimation & Budget Preparation

  • Prepare detailed project cost estimates using
    CCS Candy
    based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Develop project budgets, breaking down costs by trade, activity, and resource codes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, QS, and procurement teams to finalize budgets.

2. Cost Control & Monitoring

  • Track and control project costs against the approved budget.
  • Input and update cost codes, resource codes, and budget allocations in CCS Candy.
  • Monitor cost-to-complete and earned value, identifying potential overruns early.
  • Maintain accurate cost records for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.

3. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly
    Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
    reports.
  • Generate cost performance and variance reports from Candy.
  • Provide financial projections and cash flow forecasts for management review.
  • Highlight cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.

4. Subcontract & Procurement Cost Management

  • Assist in preparing procurement budgets and work orders in line with project budgets.
  • Review and certify subcontractor payment applications in coordination with QS.
  • Monitor material purchase orders against budget allocations.

5. Coordination & Compliance

  • Liaise with Project Managers, QS, and Finance to ensure cost alignment.
  • Support claims, variations, and change order cost analysis.
  • Ensure all cost control practices comply with company policy and contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7-8 years' experience in cost control within the construction industry.
  • Mandatory:
    Proficiency in
    CCS Candy
    (Estimation, Re-Budgeting, Cost Control modules).
  • Strong knowledge of BOQs, construction contracts, and cost coding structures.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solving skills.
