Job Objective:
To lead and coordinate the end-to-end implementation of CLIENT's GIS Data Update Improvement Project for Zone 3. The role involves managing GIS field surveys, resolving QAQC errors using custom validation tools, aligning Single Line Diagrams (SLD) with GIS data, ensuring compliance with GIS data standards, and timely delivery of submissions through CLIENT's GSTS system.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead GIS field survey teams across all designated regions .
· Develop and manage execution plans and work orders covering 30-site batches.
· Ensure project milestones, daily reporting, and action plans are adhered to as per CLIENT timelines.
· Manage GIS data quality improvement by resolving errors identified via custom QAQC tools.
· Align SLD with GIS database (11kV and 33kV feeders).
· Ensure compliance with CLIENT GIS schema, spatial projections (ONG14), and data model specifications.
· Oversee GPS-based survey of electrical assets: feeders, transformers, RMUs, substations, and open points.
· Ensure survey reference complies with NSA Oman GPS signal (CORSNet).
· Validate missing and additional network components and report new gaps.
· Ensure data deliverables (raw GPS data, photos, sketches, as-built drawings) are submitted through CLIENT's GSTS.
· Maintain traceable documentation for all surveyed assets, including geo-tagged photos and sketches.
· Communicate regularly with CLIENT GIS Team to resolve feedback, submit reports, and verify open issues.
· Submit HSE Plan and ensure field team compliance with CLIENT HSE standards.
· Ensure Omanization goals and local content obligations are met (60% Omanization including subcontractors).

Education
Bachelor's in Geomatics, GIS, Survey Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience
5–8 years in GIS surveying projects within utility/electrical networks
GIS Skills
Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS, ArcFM, QAQC tools, GPS data handling
Tools
GSTS system, GIS Mobile App, AutoCAD, GPS Survey Devices
Certifications
ESRI Certification (preferred), HSE training, valid DCRP & Tender Board Registration
Language
English (mandatory), Arabic (preferred for local coordination)
