Rapide is a fast-growing logistics company based in Oman, focused on building innovative technology solutions to power modern supply chains. We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to help us maintain, customize, and extend our logistics platform.

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Developer at Rapide, you will be working on backend services built with Laravel (PHP) and a frontend powered by a modern JavaScript framework. While our primary frontend is built with , prior Ember experience is not strictly required, if you have solid experience with other JS frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc.) and can adapt quickly, you will do well in this role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and improving backend services using Laravel.
  • Customizing and extending frontend features using (or learning Ember if new to it).
  • Collaborating with the product and operations team to deliver seamless logistics workflows.
  • Troubleshooting bugs and ensuring system reliability.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with Laravel (PHP) backend development.
  • Proven experience with at least one major modern JavaScript framework , React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc.).
  • Ability and willingness to learn if not already experienced.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
  • Git workflow experience (branching, pull requests, code review).
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining overlap with Oman business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with real-time applications or WebSockets.
  • Understanding of logistics, transportation, or fleet management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Docker and DevOps workflows.

Compensation

  • Full-time, long-term engagement.
  • Remote with timezone compatibility to Oman (Gulf Standard Time, +4 UTC).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RO RO per month
