Job Title: AGM/Sr. Manager - OMAN Finance & Accounts

(Chartered Accountant (8+ Years Experience))

Location: Duqm, Oman

Reports to: DGM/Finance Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of

experience in managing and supervising various accounting functions. The ideal

candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations,

including preparation and review of financial statements, tax compliance, managing

accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring adherence to regulatory

requirements in Oman. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent

analytical skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Accounting Operations: Oversee the day-to-day accounting

operations, including general ledger, month-end/quarterly closing, and

financial reporting.

• Financial Statements & Balance Sheet Preparation: Ensure timely and

accurate preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss

statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Taxation & Compliance: Manage direct and indirect tax compliance,

including filing returns and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and

regulations.

• Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Management: Oversee AR and

AP processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments to

vendors.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance

analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.

• Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for

statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and adherence to

audit standards.

• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal controls to

safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals,

providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with all financial,

legal, and regulatory requirements, including Companies Act, Income Tax,

GST, and other relevant laws.

• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and

implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of

accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a valid certification.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax, and

compliance.

• Proven experience in managing accounting operations, including accounts

payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and

tax laws.

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Renewable/Solar and manufacturing industry.

• Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) is a plus.
