Job Description:

Machinist

a) Must have more than 4 years' experience as a machinist in the petrochemical or power generation industry.

b) Must have educational qualification:

c) Must be able to read, write and speak English language.

d) Must be able to read isometric drawings.

e) Must be able to work to very fine standards and tolerances on a wide range of machine shop equipment.

f) Must be knowledgeable in, competent with, and be able to maintain all types of lathes, milling machines, surface grinders,

pillar drills, valve lapping, honing equipment and dynamic balancing equipment.

g) Must be able to read engineering and construction drawings without assistance.

h) Must be able to maintain records, draft reports, and record data without assistance.

i) Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to work with no, or a very limited amount of supervision.

j) Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and perform highly creative work.

k) Must comply with Company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) rules and regulations. Must report all accidents,

injuries and hazards to immediate supervisor. Must participate in all phases of safety

training.

I) Must be able to assist in the career development and on-job training of Omani nationals.
