Job Description

The Inspector – Agriculture will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, sampling, and verification of various agricultural commodities in bulk, bagged, or stored forms. The role ensures adherence to international standards and accurate reporting on moisture content, cargo condition, and storage practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of vessels, warehouses, and storage facilities for agricultural cargo.
  • Perform sampling of bulk, bagged, and stockpiled commodities following international standards.
  • Ensure compliance with quality inspection procedures and international standards such as GAFTA, ISO, ASTM for sampling, sample preparation, and moisture determination.
  • Monitor and report cargo condition, moisture content, and storage practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, sample analysis, and reporting results.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients for inspection schedules and reporting.

Commodities Handled:

  • Grains: Wheat, Barley, Corn, Soybean
  • Oilseeds: Sunflower Seeds, Rapeseed
  • Fertilizers: Granular Urea, DAP, MOP, SOP
  • Feed Ingredients: Soybean Meal, Corn Gluten Meal
  • Other Agri Products: Sugar, Rice, Pulses

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in agriculture inspection, sampling, and moisture analysis.
  • Knowledge of international standards for sampling and sample preparation (GAFTA, ISO, ASTM).
  • Experience in vessel and warehouse inspections for agricultural cargo handling and storage.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inspection records
  • Analytical and observational skills for quality verification.
  • Knowledge of agricultural commodity handling, storage, and sampling techniques.
  • Ability to work independently in field and port conditions.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination with clients and teams.
