About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and practical Geologist (or Senior Geologist) to join our mining and processing operations for salt extraction, crushing, refining and packaging. The successful candidate will lead geological activities across exploration, resource definition, mine planning support and grade control. This is a hands-on role based on-site, working closely with Mine Operations, Drilling & Blasting, Processing, HSE and Maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient and geologically sound production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute geological programs across exploration, resource delineation and mine-site grade control.

• Plan, supervise and QA drilling campaigns (core/RC/auger) and field sampling; oversee contractors and drilling crews.

• Collect, manage and QC geology data: logging, sampling, assay results, density measurements and core/photos archive.

• Build and maintain geological models, block models and resource estimates; update models to support mine schedules and reconciliations.

• Provide geotechnical and hydrogeological input for pit stability, cavern design, dewatering and ground control as required.

• Design and implement grade-control strategies and short-term mining plans to optimise plant feed and product quality.

• Interpret structural geology, stratigraphy and lithology to guide selective mining and reduce dilution.

• Operate and maintain geological databases; produce maps, cross-sections, long-sections and spatial analysis (GIS).

• Coordinate sampling and testwork with laboratories (chemical analyses, moisture/density, beneficiation tests).

• Monitor reconciliation between modelled vs actual production; recommend corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy.

• Prepare technical reports, weekly/monthly production geology summaries, risk registers and regulatory documentation.

• Ensure geological activities comply with HSE procedures, permits-to-work and site safety standards.

• Mentor and supervise junior geologists, technicians and contractors; provide training on sampling and logging standards.

• Support capital projects (new deposits, pilot plants) and respond to ad-hoc technical requests from stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences required; MSc or higher preferred for Senior Geologist roles.

• Minimum 3+ years practical mine geology experience for Geologist; 6+ years (or more) for Senior Geologist — preferably in evaporite/salt, sedimentary or soft-rock mining environments.

• Demonstrated experience with drilling programs, sampling protocols, resource modelling and mine reconciliation.

• Proficiency with geological and modelling software (examples: Surpac, Micromine, Datamine, Leapfrog, Vulcan, or similar) and GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS).

• Strong competence in data management, logging standards, QA/QC procedures and statistical/geostatistical methods.

• Experience producing technical maps, sections, resource reports and presenting results to operations and management.

• Familiarity with laboratory coordination, assay interpretation, density/moisture measurements and sample chain-of-custody.

• Practical field skills: core logging, survey coordination, basic geotechnical assessment and hands-on troubleshooting.

• Excellent report-writing and communication skills in English; ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under site conditions and shift patterns.

• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance; prior experience working within site HSE systems.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to work on-site and travel between operations as required.
