We are seeking for a Certified Safety Trainer in SGS Oman for developing and delivering training programs to ensure a safe working environment by educating employees on safety protocols, procedures, and regulations.

This includes assessing training needs, creating training materials, and monitoring the effectiveness of training programs. Promoting safety awareness and ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Training Needs Assessment:

Identifying specific safety training needs within the organization based on workplace assessments, incident reports, and regulatory requirements.
- Training Delivery:

Conducting safety training sessions, workshops, and orientations for employees, ensuring they understand and can apply safety procedures.
- Safety Compliance:

Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant safety regulations, such as those set by NEBOSH IGC.
- Promoting Safety Awareness:

Implementing strategies to foster a culture of safety within the workplace, including communication campaigns, safety campaigns, and promoting the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Incident Investigation:

Participating in investigations of workplace accidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent future incidents.
- Program Evaluation:

Monitoring the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Staying Updated:

Keeping abreast of new safety regulations, best practices, and emerging hazards to ensure training content is current and relevant.

Qualifications

  • 5 Years work experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals in the same role.
  • Minimum 2 Years in GCC.
  • Minimum 2 Years in Turn Around Projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in HSE or Engineering or Science.
  • Preferred HSE Certification NEBOSH IGC.
  • Certified Trainer.
