Role Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and secure operation of on-premises server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain on-premises server infrastructure
- Administer and support Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
- Manage system backups, recovery, and restoration processes
- Ensure security of IT assets through continuous monitoring and incident resolution
- Perform regular software updates, patching, and system maintenance
- Deploy new and emerging IT systems and technologies
Key Skills
- Windows and Unix/Linux systems administration
- Server installation, configuration, and maintenance
- System troubleshooting and incident resolution
- Backup, recovery, and patch management
- IT security monitoring and system hardening
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system administration roles
- Strong hands-on experience with on-premises server environments
- Proven ability to manage backups, recovery, and patching
- Good understanding of system security and monitoring practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
