Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Training Manager to lead the Learning & Development function for the pre-opening and subsequent operations of Clinique La Prairie AMAALA. The ideal candidate will bring strong luxury hospitality and pre-opening training experience, with the ability to translate CLP brand standards, wellness philosophy, and service culture into practical learning programs. This role will ensure colleagues are fully prepared to deliver an exceptional ultra-luxury wellness and guest experience from opening day.
Pre-Opening Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive pre-opening Learning & Development strategy and critical path aligned with resort opening milestones.
- Build the master training calendar covering induction, brand, service, technical, compliance, and departmental training.
- Partner with the General Manager, Director of Human Resources, Heads of Departments, and Corporate teams to define training priorities, ownership, timelines, and readiness standards.
- Establish training facilities, learning resources, training records, and LMS/tracking tools before large-scale colleague onboarding.
- Develop and adapt induction, service culture, departmental, and operational training materials in line with CLP standards.
- Coordinate external training providers and subject matter experts where required, ensuring content and resources are ready ahead of opening.
3. Team Readiness:
- Lead the onboarding and induction journey for all pre-opening colleagues and managers.
- Establish and develop Departmental Trainers and Training Champions, providing Train-the-Trainer coaching and ongoing support.
- Coordinate simulations, dry runs, role plays, service rehearsals, and guest journey exercises to validate operational readiness.
4. Compliance & Readiness Reporting:
- Ensure all mandatory, statutory, health, safety, and role-specific training is completed before colleagues assume operational duties.
- Track departmental training completion and readiness, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions before opening.
- Maintain accurate training records and provide regular readiness reports to HR, Executive Management, Corporate teams, and relevant stakeholders as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the resort’s Learning & Development strategy in line with business priorities, CLP culture, and ultra-luxury service standards.
- Conduct training needs analysis and translate identified needs into structured annual and departmental learning plans.
- Establish clear learning pathways that support colleague capability, performance, career development, and succession planning.
Training Operations & Readiness
- Manage the annual and monthly training calendar and coordinate learning activities across all resort departments.
- Partner with Heads of Departments to develop practical departmental training plans, skills checklists, and refresher programs.
- Monitor training quality and effectiveness through assessments, observations, feedback, and operational performance indicators.
Luxury Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Lead service excellence training focused on personalization, anticipation of guest needs, discretion, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail.
- Translate brand standards and guest experience expectations into practical colleague behaviors and service routines.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by developing targeted coaching and refresher training based on audits, feedback, operational observations.
Wellness & Longevity Integration
- Embed CLP’s wellness and longevity philosophy within colleague learning and the overall service culture.
- Coordinate with medical, wellness, spa, nutrition, movement, and hospitality teams to support a seamless and consistent guest journey.
- Ensure non-clinical colleagues understand the purpose of the wellness journey and how their roles contribute to the overall guest experience.
- Reinforce confidentiality, privacy, professional boundaries, and discretion expected in an ultra-luxury wellness environment.
- Work with subject matter experts to coordinate specialized learning where technical or clinical expertise is required.
