Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing excellent patient care through effective counseling and customer service. The role also involves managing inventory, maintaining records, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispensing & Patient Care

• Accurately dispense prescription medications as per doctor’s instructions
  
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions
  
• Provide clear patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, and side effects
  
• Advise customers on over-the-counter (OTC) medications
  

2. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with guidelines set by the Ministry of Health Oman
  
• Maintain proper records of controlled and prescription drugs
  
• Follow all legal, ethical, and safety standards
  

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates of medicines
  
• Place orders and coordinate with suppliers
  
• Ensure proper storage conditions for pharmaceuticals
  

4. Customer Service

• Provide professional and courteous service to customers
  
• Handle customer queries and complaints effectively
  
• Build strong customer relationships and trust
  

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and sales
  
• Use pharmacy management systems for billing and inventory tracking
  
• Prepare reports as required by management
  

6. Team Collaboration

• Work closely with pharmacy assistants and other healthcare staff
  
• Support training and supervision of junior staff

• Monthly Gross Salary: 500 OMR (Five Hundred Omani Riyal Only) All Inclusive
  
• Fixed Overtime : All Saturdays & 1(one) hour daily. (22% included in the gross salary)
  
• Overtime : Applicable as per actual extra hours work
  
• Incentive : Applicable as per Sales Target criteria
  
• Workdays & Duty Hours : As per Oman Labor Laws
  
• Contract Period : 2 years from the date of commencement of Employment.
  
• Vacation  : Annual 30 days paid leave with round way Air Ticket
  
• Probation : 3 Months from the date of Joining
  
• Benefit and Welfare : As per the prevailing Oman Labor Laws
  
• Others : Candidate must qualify for Immigration & MoH formalities
