This position is dedicated to one of Galaxy Way's key institutional client accounts and works day to day alongside the client's marketing team in Muscat. The role operates with full fluency in both Arabic and English, creating independently in each language rather than translating.
The successful candidate will lead the editorial calendar and make sure every piece of content reflects the client's brand voice with consistency and precision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation
• Write social media content, campaign copy, press releases, website copy and institutional messaging.
• Create original content independently in Arabic and in English, adapting tone, structure and idiom to each audience.
• Develop clear key messages from briefs, source documents and verified facts.
• Write long-form content such as articles, speeches, reports and website pages when required. 2. Editorial Leadership
• Lead and maintain the editorial calendar across all channels.
• Plan content around campaigns, national occasions, milestones and client priorities.
• Coordinate content timelines with the marketing, design and production teams.
• Contribute content ideas and angles in campaign planning sessions. 3. Brand Voice and Quality
• Protect the client's brand voice and terminology across every channel and format.
• Edit and proofread all copy for accuracy, clarity, grammar, tone and consistency.
• Fact-check names, titles, figures and dates before content goes for approval.
• Build and maintain a voice and terminology guide in both languages. 4. Collaboration and Approvals
• Work closely with designers so copy and visuals tell one consistent story.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and manage revisions through the approval process.
• Brief and review the work of other writers or translators when needed. Required Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in content development, copywriting, editorial or corporate communications.
• Proven ability to write original, publication-ready content in both Arabic and English.
• Experience writing press releases and institutional or corporate messaging.
• Experience planning and owning a multi-channel editorial calendar.
• Agency experience, or experience writing for government, semi-government or large organisations, is strongly preferred.
• A portfolio of original Arabic and English writing samples is required. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Arabic or English Literature, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Full professional writing fluency in Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of Omani and GCC audiences, culture and official communication style.
• Awareness of web readability and search-friendly writing practices. Required Skills and Competencies
• Bilingual copywriting and editing (Arabic and English)
• Editorial planning and calendar management
• Brand voice consistency
• Research and fact-checking
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Collaboration with design and marketing teams
• Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality AI Skills (Required) Galaxy Way expects every team member to use AI tools professionally and responsibly. Uses AI tools for research, outlining and first drafts, and always rewrites, fact-checks and refines the output so the final copy is original, accurate and on-brand in both languages. Key Performance Indicators Performance will be evaluated based on:
• On-time delivery of the editorial calendar
• First-round approval rate of submitted copy
• Accuracy: number of factual or language corrections required
