The Accounts Clerk responsibilities include maintaining books of accounts in accordance with the accounting procedures, policies, and chart of accounts, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Education:

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, or a General Diploma of General Education.

Experience & Skills:

Fresh graduates with a Diploma, or 3 years of experience with a General Diploma of General Education.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • Outlook

  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with professionals from other functions or external bodies

Specific Responsibilities and Standards:
  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  2. Assist in the compilation of the annual budget, plans, and performance reports
  3. Assist with external and internal audits
  4. Support payment execution and follow-up on invoicing and receivables
  5. Research and resolve customer billing and payment issues
  6. Verify and record business transactions
  7. Perform reconciliation, cash, and bank management activities
  8. Maintain petty cash funds and ensure sufficient funds for daily operations
  9. Perform ad-hoc activities as required
  10. Uphold the mission and vision of OCEC
  11. Develop effective relationships with management, staff, owners, government representatives, business partners, clients, and third-party consultants
  12. Identify and resolve internal and external cultural and other issues as they arise
  13. Provide input for reports and correspondence as needed
