About Badlands National Park:

Known as South Dakota's hidden treasure, Badlands National Park is located in the southwestern part of the state. This region of land is sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles, & spires are blended with the largest protected mixed grass prairie in the United States. Aramark operates Cedar Pass Lodge & Restaurant to offer our guests cozy accommodations & regionally sourced dishes. Activities include hiking, wildlife viewing, photography, camping, & stargazing.

The Wait Staff Lead position is vital to achieving excellent guest service and executing catering events. The Wait Staff Lead is responsible for pulling equipment for event set up, transporting materials and food to the event, setting up the event, serving guests, cleaning up the event, and returning equipment to the catering Department. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Leads catering team on all catering functions
2. Leads preparation banquet room for the function
3. Serve meals and beverages in accordance with catering protocol and banquet sheets
4. Accurately set tables for special functions
5. Load/unload event equipment into catering vehicles, following all safety procedures in compliance with DOT regulations.
6. Clean all functions areas upon completion
7. Perform opening and closing side work as needed
8. Must maintain a professional appearance
9. Maintain storage rooms and supplies in an orderly fashion
10. Maintain equipment and all other catering supplies
11. Perform all job duties safely and efficiently
12. Follows all company safety policies and procedures
13. Ability to understand and follow directions from the Manager/Director
14. Ability to lift up to 50 lb and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lb
15. Ability to walk or stand for extended time periods, up to 6 hours
16. Involves repetitive motion
17. Involves working with chemicals, heated equipment, steam and at other risk conditions
18. Ability to move in and out of catering vehicles and transport event equipment and food product in a safe manner
19. Cross-training and work in other dining locations as needed
20. May supervise the staff and sanitation of facilities of the locations
21. Responsible for openings and closing the building, addressing employee matters, and making sure the location is staffed appropriately

Qualifications

1. 1-year supervisory experience
2. Desired Qualifications: Ability to carry at least 4 meals on a tray at any given time
3. Excellent Guest Service Skills and ability to work in a team environment
4. Ideal candidate has a flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
5. Enjoys working in a lively environment
6. Well-groomed and professional attire (follow Aramark standards for uniform and grooming)
7. TIPS/TEAM Certified
