
Trade Marketing Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Trade Marketing Analyst to join a leading Beverages & Dairy company in Oman. This individual will act as the bridge between marketing and sales, ensuring that our products are effectively promoted and positioned across all trade channels. The ideal candidate is data-savvy, field-oriented, and brings proven experience within the dairy or beverages industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute channel-specific trade marketing plans for key SKUs across modern trade, traditional trade, and horeca (hotels, restaurants, cafes).
- Identify regional trends and consumer behavior to tailor trade strategies accordingly.
- Monitor competitor activities and trade promotions to suggest improvements in our go-to-market approach.
Promotions & Campaign Analysis:
- Plan and evaluate trade promotions including ROI analysis and post-campaign assessments.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective execution of trade promotions at the point of sale.
- Track promotion compliance and report variances to the management team.
- Lead in-store execution strategies including merchandising standards, product displays, and shelf space optimization.
- Work with external vendors and suppliers to develop effective POSM (Point of Sale Materials) aligned with brand guidelines.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Own and update trade marketing dashboards, sales forecasts, and performance reports.
- Analyze sell-in and sell-out data to provide insights and recommendations for future campaigns.
- Use tools such as Nielsen, IRI, or internal ERP/BI systems to extract and interpret data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with marketing, sales, category, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on product launches and trade plans.
- Provide monthly trade marketing insights to support strategic business decisions.
Candidate Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in Trade Marketing within the FMCG sector, preferably in beverages, dairy, or food production.
- Proven understanding of retail and distribution channels across the GCC region, especially Oman.
- Candidates must be based in Oman or willing to relocate.
- Experience working with data analytics tools, market research platforms, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns across different trade zones.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
