Scope of Position

The Bartender is to perform proactive, interactive and reactive allowing each member of our guests completely satisfies during their meal and bar experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. General:
  2. Understand and comply with all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
  3. Comply with MOHG Code of Conduct and ensure all business activities meet legal requirements.
  4. Support all learning and development activities.
  5. Safeguard stored information and not divulge personal data unless authorized.
  6. Adhere to hotel policies regarding internet use and personal conduct.
  7. Support and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and Sustainable at Mandarin Oriental.
  8. Ensure compliance with the MOHG Social Media Policy.
  9. Maintain a zero tolerance towards harassment or discrimination.
  10. Carry out any additional duties requested by management related to hotel operations.
  1. Departmental:
  2. Support the company's philosophy and culture to ensure Guest Satisfaction.
  3. Lead and communicate with colleagues during bar operations.
  4. Follow the production sequence of all beverage products and bar service.
  5. Achieve service and product delivery standards with high client care.
  6. Set up and operate a bar station/section.
  7. Provide services for guests, including order taking and promoting offerings.
  8. Recommend and prepare wine and cocktail choices for guests.
  9. Coordinate the service of food and beverage efficiently.
  10. Report and follow up on maintenance issues affecting service delivery.
  11. Respond proactively to guest queries with effective communication.
  12. Perform all duties related to restaurant opening/closing checklists.
  13. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory.
  14. Manage cash float and cashiering duties.
  15. Maintain and order all store requisitions and stock rotation.
  1. Health & Safety:
  2. Comply with safe working practices as per FLHSS.
  3. Adhere to local Food Hygiene Standards.
  4. Wear appropriate protective clothing as recommended by the Hotel.
  5. Report defects in building, plant, or equipment according to hotel procedures.
  6. Report any accidents to colleagues, guests, or visitors as per hotel procedures.
  7. Attend all statutory fire training and abide by fire, health & safety rules.
