Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oman, focusing on cost control and project monitoring within construction or engineering projects. The Technical Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate cost entry into systems (AS4U/Sun), tracking project performance, and supporting financial planning and risk management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and edit work estimates using iTWO estimation software.
  2. Monitor cost, performance development, and productivity.
  3. Perform planned vs. actual comparisons (cost, quantities, time) and analyze with the project team.
  4. Prepare forecasts to completion, cash flow, and resource planning.
  5. Provide backup data for claims and variation orders.
  6. Monitor opportunities and risks; prepare project analysis with the project team.
  7. Prepare monthly reports and reviews for management.
  8. Review the quality and conclusiveness of monthly reports, forecasts, and risk assessments from the site, and report to management.
  9. Supervise project controlling issues on-site, ensuring compliance with CPS (common project standards of Strabag Group).
  10. Continuously optimize internal processes, controlling workflows, and tools.
  11. Coordinate project analysis with project teams and the Group's Central Project Risk Management Department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in cost controlling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with estimation applications, especially ITWO.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
