T24 Senior Technical Consultant - Core Banking

We have an urgent requirement for a T24 Senior Technical Consultant - Core Banking for our banking client in Oman.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of development, implementation, and support in Temenos T24 modules in Core Banking application — Must
  • Working knowledge of AA module (Deposits & Lending) — Must
  • Development experience in Core Banking modules & local customization — Must
  • Working knowledge of TAFJ — Must
  • COB monitoring — Must
  • Experience with various versions of T24, from R17 onwards — Must

Main Responsibilities:

  • Development, technical testing, and regression testing
  • Assist business in completing UAT
  • Support performance testing
  • Ensure audit and regulatory compliance
  • COB monitoring

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Interact with users, application teams, and vendors to handle business requirements and projects
  • Review technical documentation and developments
  • Analyze impact of new business requirements on Core Banking
  • Collaborate with business SPOC to understand requirements and identify gaps
  • Document requirements and obtain sign-offs
  • Ensure timely delivery
  • Develop according to coding standards and perform unit testing
  • Coordinate testing activities, including regression testing and UAT support
  • Update BSR and provide test data for UAT

Education:

  • A university degree or equivalent with specialization in relevant fields.

Experience:

  • Essential: 12+ years hands-on experience in development, implementation, and support of Temenos T24 (or Globus) Core Banking System in banks or financial institutions, in a user-facing role.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of business domain is mandatory
  • Knowledge of relevant T24 modules and parameters
  • Good communication skills for dealing with users

Technical Skills Required:

  • Experience with Temenos Web Services, TAFJ administration, T24 Browser, OFS/OFSML, multithreading, system performance monitoring, and legacy modules of T24

Functional Skills:

  • Mandatory accounting knowledge
  • Working knowledge of T24 modules, including retail, corporate, and accounting modules
  • Experience with CRB/CRF reporting is advantageous

Other Preferences:

  • Experience in the banking environment in the Middle East is an added advantage
