Overview of the role

To ensure that the IKEA store provides the highest possible service level to customers and optimizes stock levels at the lowest possible cost. This is achieved by implementing all working methods described in IKEA Logistics manuals and ensuring high efficiency in goods movement.

What you will doOperational
  • Responsible for stock picks from buffer for internal replenishment according to sales requirements.
  • Responsible for binning to buffer stock requested to secure weekend stock from external warehouse.
  • Maintain vigilance during picking and binning to reduce discrepancies and stock loss.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
Commercial
  • Assist in stocking/merchandising incoming truck shipments to the sales floor and return remaining stock to buffer.
Customers
  • Ensure all empty boxes are removed and the area is ready for customers before store opening.
Financial
  • Reduce internal handling damages to control damage costs and achieve store profit targets.
Required skills to be successful
  • Valid forklift driving license.
  • This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to lift heavy loads daily and weekly, so a strong physique is necessary.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
What equips you for the role
  • 1-2 years retail experience; goods-flow or supply chain knowledge preferred.
