Overview:
The school follows the UK national curriculum. The student complement consists of 60% local students and 40% international students. High profile students attend this school and go on to achieve well in International Universities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging lessons based on the UK curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment, fostering a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school leadership team.
  • Teach Secondary classes to A Level.

School Requirements:

  • Fully qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualifying experience.
  • Experience teaching A Level courses is desirable.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or Art and PGCE in Secondary Teaching. (Candidates must have matching qualifications and a first degree in teaching subject to qualify).
  • Experience of UK curriculum preferred with complete QTS and Induction.
  • Previous EAL experience advantageous.
  • Able to deliver active and engaging lessons.
  • Display an energetic, positive attitude which will create a warm and engaging atmosphere to advance students' physical, mental, and emotional development.

  • Tax-free salary from 1,400 - 1,650 Omani Rials per month (dependent on experience).
  • Accommodation in a teacher community block setting or housing allowance. Housing costs deducted from salary.

  • Tuition for first child is free, second child is 50% fee reduction.
