Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test products compounds to determine chemical and physical properties related to the spectrometer machine.
  • Maintain samples from each batch along with the classification.
  • Check materials as per standard and follow IMS format.
  • Handle sample preparation machines and sample transportation equipment properly.
  • Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose issues.
  • Assist the QA Engineer/QA/QC Assistance Manager as required.
  • Carry out additional testing on non-routine samples.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the QA Engineer/QA/QC Assistance Manager.
  • Work on a shift basis, including overtime as required.
  • Ensure that operational data is regularly and accurately recorded for reliable information on performance and material stocks.
  • Follow safety and quality system procedures, and maintain workplace housekeeping as per OAPIL IMS and OAPIL HSE Standards.
  • Complete assignments from direct reports.
  • Monitor and manage the laboratories under the Quality Control department.
  • Ensure raw materials meet OAPIL specifications.
  • Generate NCR in case of non-conformance and send to Vendor.
  • Assist and coordinate all third-party inspections of finished goods with the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Ensure all lab equipment functions properly and is serviced and calibrated according to relevant standards; coordinate with vendors for calibration and certification.
  • Arrange proper training and weekly toolbox meetings for QC supervisors and inspectors.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and inconsistent analytical results in coordination with QC engineers and QC technicians.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all testing standards.
  • Management/Team leader/Direct Line report can assign related tasks to enhance operating skills and may transfer you to other departments as needed.
Relationships

Internal: Production, Marketing, Logistics, Procurement, Finance.

External: Customers, Suppliers, Government/related ministries.

Experience

3+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing facility in the QC department.
