a. Effectively organize, teach, and evaluate student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum.

b. Prepare and present lessons in Electrical courses and conduct both Classroom and On-the-job Training.

Maintain course curriculum and provide student guides for all courses taught.

c. Design and implement teaching methodologies for classroom and laboratory activities that develop the required competencies of the students.

d. Arrange workshops for student practical experiences and monitor progress.

e. Assist in requesting, coordinating, and maintaining instructional equipment and supplies.

f. Prepare and administer examinations and other evaluation tools.

g. Evaluate and record student performance and progress.

h. Assist in developing new courses and revising existing courses and instructional materials to ensure program growth and development.

i. Ensure high-quality standards in course materials and delivery are maintained.

• Business Area Activities

a. Obtain and maintain international accreditation.

b. Maintain contact with industry groups concerning training needs and update courses accordingly.

c. Engage in professional development and stay current with industry trends.

d. Assist in budgeting processes.

e. Advise students on academic matters and concerns.

f. Encourage student participation in professional organizations and community activities.

g. Exhibit leadership skills, including motivation and management of objectives.

h. Exercise independent judgment and deal effectively with problems.

i. Maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and colleagues.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare new curricula according to international standards and review/update periodically.

- Maintain safety standards and guide trainees on safe working practices.

- Ensure compliance with HSE and PTW systems, proper tool and PPE use, and conduct site visits for hazard assessment.

- Conduct mandatory safety courses related to electrical safety, energy isolation, PPE, hazard awareness, etc.

- Prepare training materials for various electrical safety and maintenance courses.

- Conduct courses on flameproof equipment, hazardous areas, permit-to-work, and switching procedures.

- Train candidates for competency levels such as CEP and AEP.

- Deliver classroom, practical, and on-the-job training for oil & gas industry processes.

- Conduct assessments as per OPITO standards to evaluate knowledge and skills.

- Plan and facilitate documentation, resources, and facilities for accreditation and approval.

- Coordinate with operational departments to meet training needs.

- Improve training processes for efficiency and timely certification.

- Maintain asset registers and equipment logs, and handle procurement requests.

- Prepare course documents, assessments, and schedules.

- Assist in budget preparation and resource optimization.

3. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATION

Academic Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

• 8-10 years operational experience in electrical systems within oil & gas or relevant domain.
• 4-5 years training experience in oil & gas industry.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance routines, electrical equipment operation, energy isolation, and hazard identification.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Certifications:

• OPITO Level 3 Assessor or similar qualification.
• Trainer the Trainer certification.
