Land Surveyor

Budgets and Plans

• Monitor the financial
  performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities
  are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting
  on any variances to management.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

• Provide inputs and implement
  policies, systems and procedure for the assigned section so that all relevant
  procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality,
  cost-effective service. Day-To-Day Operations

Day to Day Operations

• Carry out the survey development plans, maintain, review and check the
  accuracy of lands information and coordinates.
• Plan and study the methods and procedures to conduct legal survey
  activities. Establish and mark the legal boundaries of the lands and utilities
  in the SIP Group.
• Prepare and develop the survey activities standards and specifications.
• Conducting research in the field of lands and topographic survey and
  mapping methods using relevant techniques and knowledge and data processing.
• Register the plots and properties of Sohar Port and Freezone area using
  the legal survey methods; record all measurements and other obtained
  information during the survey activities to validate the data.
• Prepare, manage and document all data, plans, maps, records and documents
  relevant to survey activities.
• Hold all field survey works and data collection for planning purposes for
  Sohar port and Freezone area.
• Prepare and develop the guidelines, standards and procedures for the use
  of Benchmarks and GPS reference stations.
• Provide surveying services to Sohar port and Freezone clients, including
  performing surveys, preparing reports, and delivering results within agreed
  timelines and standards.
• Ensure accurate invoicing for surveying services provided to clients,
  collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely and correct billing.
• Manage client expectations, addressing any issues or concerns regarding
  survey data, service delivery, or timelines, and ensure high levels of client
  satisfaction.
• Provide necessary solutions for issues raised on-site related to land surveying.
• Ensure proper maintenance and
  calibration of surveying equipment and instruments.
• Continuous Improvement
• Participate in the
  identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability
  of systems, processes and practices taking into account global best standards,
  productivity improvement and cost reduction.
• Recommend and implement advanced
  surveying technologies or methodologies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy
  of survey operations.
• Stay up-to-date with developments
  in the field of land surveying and recommend relevant innovations for the
  business.
• Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
• Ensure compliance to all
  relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and
  controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety,
  compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental
  attitude.
• Statement and Reports
• Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and
  accurately to meet the department requirements, policies and standards.
  

Minimum Qualification

• Diploma in
  Land Surveying.

Minimum Experience and Knowledge and Skills

• 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in using modern land surveying tools.
• Familiar with various coordinate systems.
• Computer literate, with experience in CAD, GPS systems, and other related
  software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Capable of identifying and managing potential risks during site marking.
• Proficient in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
