Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Innovation Specialist to support the follow-up of a consultancy study aimed at developing a platform for the national innovation ecosystem. The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking progress and outcomes of the study and, subsequently, in overseeing the development of the platform and managing the innovation services derived from it. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Follow-Up on Consultancy Study:

Monitor and document the progress of the consultancy study.

Evaluate outcomes and deliverables against project milestones.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights.

Prepare regular progress reports for management.

2. Platform Development Support:

Assist in the coordination of workshops and meetings related to platform development.

Help facilitate communication between the consultancy team and internal stakeholders.

Compile and analyze data to inform the development process.

3. Management of Innovation Services:

Assist in the establishment and management of innovation services post-study.

Develop and implement processes to deliver innovation services effectively.

Support outreach and engagement efforts to promote innovation services among stakeholders.

4. Research and Analysis:

Review market research and benchmarking studies related to innovation ecosystems.

Review trends analysis and best practices in innovation management.

5. Administrative Support:

Provide administrative support for project-related activities, including scheduling meetings and maintaining

documentation.

Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders.

6. IT System Management:

Oversee the technical implementation of the innovation platform.

Collaborate with IT vendors and developers to ensure platform functionality meets requirements.

Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions.

Manage platform updates and enhancements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Business, Innovation Management, Public Policy, Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Considerable IT background with experience in digital platform management, software development, or system implementation.

Understanding of technology infrastructure, databases, and digital innovation tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Interest in innovation, R&D, technology, and ecosystem development.

Relevant work experience; Minimum 1-3 years of experience.

Commercial Registration certificate is required with approved freelancer activity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in project management or support roles.

Familiarity with innovation frameworks and methodologies.

Understanding of national or regional innovation policies.

Knowledge of UX/UI principles for digital platforms.

Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.

Additional Requirements:

English (fluent written and verbal)

1. Contract duration: 2 years

2. Package includes amounts for Pension and Medical Insurance should the candidate wish to process the benefits

independently.

3. Full time job at IPM (Innovation Park Muscat)

4. Working Days: Sun - Thursday, 5 days a week

5. Working Hours: 7:30-2:30; flexible government hours are applicable.

6. Note: sometimes the nature of the work requires working outside working hours, it is expected that the candidate is flexible and cooperative in this regard.
