Your Day to Day:
People

• Manage daily engineering needs, plan and assign work ensuring the right team is in place.
• Develop your team through coaching and feedback, creating performance and development goals, and recognizing good performance.
• Recommend or initiate HR-related actions as needed.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, complying with policies and regulations.
• Maintain relations with outside contacts including guests and regulatory agencies.
• Follow up on outstanding points from IT audits under the supervision of the IT Manager/Leader.

Financial

Control expenses and minimize waste in all maintenance areas.

Guest Experience

Assist guests to ensure their satisfaction and use maintenance programs to keep the hotel in optimal condition.

Responsible Business

Maintain and order parts and supplies, minimize waste, and support green initiatives. May be responsible for hotel security to minimize risks. Perform ad-hoc duties as needed.

Accountabilities:

This is the top Maintenance/Engineering role, potentially overseeing one or more food or beverage outlets, meeting spaces, or catering facilities. May supervise a small maintenance team.

What do we need from you?

• Advanced vocational training.
• Four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent education and experience.
• Expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields.
• Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificates, licensed plumber, and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Professional certifications and licenses as required by law.
