We have an urgent requirement for a Technology Learning & Development Head (Technology Academy) with our banking client in Muscat, Oman.

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in collaborating with stakeholders across Technology, IT Audit, IT Security Risk Management, and Human Resources to align the academy's strategy with the bank's.
  • Proven expertise in designing and executing learning and development initiatives within the Bank Technology function.
  • Experience in delivering complex and high-profile L&D programs to a technical workforce.
  • Vendor and Budget Management skills.
  • Skills gap analysis in a technology team.

This is a permanent, direct role with the bank.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct skills gap analyses to evaluate current capabilities and inform targeted learning interventions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the Technology Academy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify and address learning needs across various technology functions.
  • Lead policy and process development for the Academy.
  • Develop customized L&D strategies and curricula to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Ensure integration of strategic plans into all programs.
  • Recommend and implement innovative learning channels and technologies.
  • Equip supervisors and managers with mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of all learning activities.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.
  • Analyze learning effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all Academy-related inquiries.
  • Stay updated on latest learning trends and technologies.
