Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise construction projects. You will organize and oversee construction processes and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Construction Project Manager must be fluent in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals from various disciplines to achieve the best outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a logical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with designers, architects, etc., to determine the requirements of the project.
  2. Negotiate contracts with outside vendors to reach profitable agreements.
  3. Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  4. Determine needed resources (workforce, equipment, and materials) from beginning to end with attention to financial limitations.
  5. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
  6. Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely manage deficiencies.
  7. Employ contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
  8. Supervise the work of workers, technicians, etc., and provide assistance when needed.
  9. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  10. Ensure adherence to all health and safety requirements and report issues.
Requirements and Skills
  1. Proven experience as a construction project manager.
  2. In-depth understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  3. Knowledge of quality and health and safety standards.
  4. Good understanding of MS Office.
  5. Experience with construction/project management software.
  6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  8. A team player with leadership capabilities.
  9. Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  10. PMP or comparable qualification will be an advantage.

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 6 months

Ability to commute/relocate: Muscat: Dependably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
