To lead the implementation of Oman Broadband corporate ICT & Smart city key initiatives whilst maximizing opportunities for growth. Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions that align with Oman Broadband business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monetizing Oman Broadband Fiber network across the country by leading and managing service delivery of ICT & smart city projects.
• Develop and implement the overall ICT & smart city strategy to support the business objectives.
• Lead and manage ICT & smart city infrastructure, applications, and services for optimal performance.
• Oversee the budget and financial planning for ICT & smart city projects and initiatives.
• Establish necessary policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure effective governance and compliance.
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and customer experience.
• Represent the organization in discussions with external vendors and partners regarding technology and system integration.
• Identify new IoT and smart city solutions for utilities and cities/municipalities that leverage the clients capabilities and products and create the commercial proposition for each solution.
• Supervise a team of pre-sales team and specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure the team's effectiveness in delivering technical solutions.
• Manage budgetary allocations, project timelines, and resource planning to ensure successful execution of ICT & smart city projects.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of initiatives through data analysis and metrics.
• Continually monitor market conditions and conduct market analysis that influences the formulation of strategic plans.
• Assist the government and enterprise corporate sector in going digital by creating ICT solutions and launching a variety of strong and inventive product lines.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to align technical solutions with sales strategies and assist in identifying upselling or cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts.
• Evaluate the feasibility and risks associated with potential projects, identifying any technical, operational, or financial constraints that could impact the success of an engagement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field;
• MBA or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in telecommunications or related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of smart city concepts and significant experience in ICT applications.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders in a municipal or public sector environment.
