We are seeking an Engineering - Team Leader to support our Engineering Manager in overseeing departmental operations and ensuring the functionality and safety of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role plays a key part in shift leadership and cross-departmental coordination, ensuring seamless service delivery and high maintenance standards throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build teamwork and enhance the team's commitment to their work and the hotel.
  2. Understand and embody the hotel's vision and brand personality in daily practices.
  3. Train team members to meet hotel standards effectively.
  4. Recognize outstanding performance and address substandard work fairly and promptly.
  5. Schedule staff according to business needs.
  6. Participate in problem-solving teams during regular meetings.
  7. Communicate professionally with guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  8. Keep informed and inform your supervisor of matters affecting work, service, or reputation.
  9. Maintain a professional appearance following grooming standards.
  10. Be flexible and adaptable to meet changing business needs.
  11. Support and be helpful to guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  12. Maintain a tidy work environment and support the Green Globe program.
  13. Be punctual and reliable.
  14. Understand emergency procedures for situations like fire, flood, or bomb threats.
  15. Comply with the Employee Handbook standards.
  16. Follow instructions from supervisors.
  17. Supervise maintenance and operation of utilities and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  18. Monitor and supervise contractor work on utility projects.
  19. Oversee metal machining, fabrication, and welding activities.
  20. Plan and schedule work, ensuring proper staffing and resources.
  21. Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs.
  22. Prepare reports on progress and trends with recommendations.
  23. Train new team members.
  24. Participate in personnel actions like hiring and performance reviews.
  25. Estimate project resources and requisition supplies.
  26. Inspect completed work for compliance and quality.
  27. Conduct regular inspections and establish preventive maintenance schedules.
  28. Develop and implement small projects and estimate resources needed.
  29. Maintain high standards of quality and service.
  30. Report safety hazards immediately.
  31. Complete safety training and participate in emergency response procedures.
  32. Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
  33. Support internal and external customer service.
  34. Understand and promote Alila Villa Uluwatu standards.
Technical Expertise
  1. Distribute work orders and ensure proficiency of shift staff.
  2. Inspect and log equipment conditions regularly.
  3. Respond to system abnormalities or breakdowns, following safety protocols.
  4. Monitor utility consumption and assist in efficiency efforts.
  5. Train staff in operating equipment and emergency systems.
  6. Share expertise to develop a motivated team.
  7. Practice safe working methods and participate in emergency teams.
  8. Attend safety and hotel training programs.
Environmental Sustainability Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to health, safety, and security policies.
  2. Support environmentally friendly operations.
  3. Implement Earth Check principles within scope.
  4. Possess a certificate in engineering (electronic, electrical, or mechanical).
  5. Have 4-5 years of hotel engineering experience.
  6. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and BMS platforms.
  7. Be willing to work shifts and extended hours.
  8. Possess strong English communication skills.
  9. Maintain a service-oriented mindset aligned with Hyatt hospitality standards.
