Job Description

Accounting:
  • Maintain day-to-day financial records of the branch.
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger operations, and monthly financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns as per Omani regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Assist with audits and coordination with external auditors.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with stock audits.
Administrative:
  • Maintain records of employees, attendance, and leave schedules.
  • Handle branch correspondence, filing, and documentation.
  • Support in procurement and vendor communication.
  • Ensure administrative compliance with internal company policies.
  • Manage utility payments and local government paperwork (e.g., municipality, Sanad).

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience:
    1 to 5 years of practical experience in accounting, preferably in a trading, distribution, or retail environment.
    Prior experience working in Oman or the GCC is a strong advantage.
  • Education & Technical Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
    Solid understanding of accounting standards and Omani VAT regulations.
    Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally or similar ERP systems.
    Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Administrative Capability:
    Ability to handle general office administration and coordination.
    Skilled in managing documentation, internal reporting, and branch-level compliance tasks.
  • Communication & Language:
    Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
    Basic understanding of Arabic is a plus for day-to-day interactions in Samail.
  • Work Ethic & Personality:
    Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
    Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
    Trustworthy and discreet with financial and employee data.
    Adaptable and willing to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
