Key Deliverables:

Assistant Operator must have the initiative and the ability to develop and support the production line and team of operators on TWD and stranding machines at any site according to work requirements to achieve company goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Follow safety rules and regulations as per company policy.
  2. Properly load coils/wire rods in pay-off stands and perform cold pressure welding techniques.
  3. Support the team in preparing twin wire drawing machines and converting specific sizes of aluminum or aluminum alloy wire rods into small sizes in spools or baskets.
  4. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for moving coils, baskets, and drums.
  5. Maintain good housekeeping and minimize operating costs.
  6. Select appropriate dies and keep wire drawing machines clean and in good condition.

Stranding

  1. Support the team in loading wires into baskets or bobbins for stranding.
  2. Set conductors as per CMS in stranding machines.
  3. Load take-up drums and operate the machine to produce conductors.
  4. Unload finished conductors properly and tag them accordingly.
  5. Apply cold pressure and butt welding techniques to wires.
  6. Support operation of overhead line conductor machines, keeping proper records in logbooks.
  7. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for moving baskets and drums.
  8. Work on a shift basis, including overtime when required.
  9. Maintain good attendance and adhere to all company rules and regulations.
  10. Report any product or material defects to supervisors or engineers.
  11. Follow safety and quality procedures, maintain workplace housekeeping as per standards.
  12. Perform any related tasks assigned by management to enhance skills or develop multitasking abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or High School diploma with experience in conductor manufacturing.
  • 3-4 years' experience in conductor line processes.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Basic technical skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Safe operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Wire welding skills.
  • Creative thinking to optimize productivity.

Experience:

  • High school diploma or 1 year of similar experience in related industries within the Middle East.
