Job Description

Job purpose
Execute the tasks and activities associated with Electrical Engineering in operation, under Manager Operation / Maintenance scope. Apply and expand hands-on experience in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning, and Operation in Oil and Gas industry. Responsible for supporting and executing specific work tasks directly linked to Electrical Discipline.
The position will act in accordance with the Group s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.
Main tasks and responsibilities

• Apply Electrical engineering practices, standards, and design codes.

• Assist Electrical engineers in reviewing engineering deliverables.

• Attend and actively participate works plans reviews and meetings.

• Coordinate, prepare, and make a recording of all works orders related to electrical as assigned by the Manager.

• Follow up turnover of the Electrical tasks deliverables.

• Participate in equipment selection and procurement process.

• Attend workshop and site inspection of Electrical facilities.

• Attend FAT and SAT of equipment as required.

• Participate in solving Electrical engineering challenges that are recognized during the development of the Front-End Package or detailed engineering.

• Inspect project site to monitor HSE, progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and project standards.

• Identify gaps in existing practices and tools and manage the process of developing new practices or toolkit items that enhance OQ technological offering.

• Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision/management.

• Participate pre and post contract award in discussions with Asset Owners to assess and assist in the definition of user requirements.

• Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies, and procedures, and always ensures personal safety and that of colleagues.

• Be responsible for the coordination, execution, and progress of Electrical work orders.

• Execute work following the company s HSE and Quality management system.

• Other relevant duties as requested from time to time.

Education requirements
The minimum qualification for this position is a bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering
Language requirements
Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required), Arabic - Native (desirable)
Background and experience
Competencies and skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Adaptable and motivated general management strategist who relishes challenges.

• Experienced in resource control, contract management and general management.

• Knowledge of :

• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

• Expertise in SAP- PM

• Process Equipment Life-Cycle Management

• Knowledge in operating and maintaining the reliability of equipment.

• Knowledge in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and HSE plans.

• Familiar with techniques for ensuring data integrity with various integration of information/ reports

• Knowledgeable in HSE plans related to maintenance activities.

• Understanding of Process (P&IDs / PFDs) & Engineering drawings and OEM manuals.

• Knowledge in estimating, budgeting and cost control. Should be able to work collaboratively with all involved.
