Job Description: Web Developer

We are seeking a passionate Web Developer to join our team. You should be enthusiastic about web standards, stay updated on industry developments, and continuously seek to improve your skills. Your attention to detail and appreciation for both design and code are essential. Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge are also important.

Responsibilities
  1. Create high-fidelity websites and web applications using HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript (React and TypeScript).
  2. Maintain and update existing projects, including content updates and new page additions.
  3. Manage incoming requests for updates, liaising with or delegating tasks to team members.
  4. Ensure high and consistent quality across all products.
  5. Publish new pages according to specifications and style guides.
  6. Contribute to and participate in our living style guide, Vanilla Framework.
  7. Collaborate with UX and visual designers to implement excellent user experiences.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience with modern web applications.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS (SCSS), JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript component libraries.
  • Experience with responsive design for various devices and browsers.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Consideration of accessibility in all work aspects.
  • Understanding of web performance in complex interfaces.
  • Ability to collaborate with UX designers, visual designers, and server-side developers.
  • Curiosity about technology and eagerness to learn.
  • Based in EMEA time zones.
  • University degree or equivalent education.
Useful Additional Skills
  • Familiarity with Linux desktop technologies.
  • Experience with server-side languages such as Python or NodeJS.
  • Experience working on large-scale React projects with TypeScript.
  • Open source contributions.
  • Relevant work experience.
