Chief Executive Officer

JOB SCOPE:

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership and operational excellence to steer OAIC's growth as a global airport operator and investor. The CEO will be responsible for identifying and executing investment opportunities, leading concession bids, forming international partnerships, and delivering customized aviation solutions across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of airport operations, investment strategy, public-private partnerships, and advanced aviation.

Strategic Vision and Growth

• Define and drive the company's global strategy for airport investment, operation, and development.
• Expand OAI's footprint by acquiring and managing airport assets, forming strategic alliances, and entering high-growth and emerging markets.
• Build a diversified portfolio that contributes to Oman's global positioning in aviation infrastructure.

Airport Operations & Management

• Oversee the operation of international airports within OAI's portfolio to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, passenger experience, and compliance.
• Introduce tailored aviation solutions to meet local market needs, leveraging internal expertise and global best practices.
• Monitor KPIs and lead continuous performance improvement across all managed assets.

Concession Strategy & Execution

• Lead the full lifecycle of airport concession bidding processes: opportunity assessment, consortium formation, proposal development, negotiations, and mobilization.
• Ensure strong legal, financial, and technical positioning in all PPP and concession bids.
• Build long-term relationships with host governments, regulators, and financial partners.

Aviation Ecosystem Development

• Identify and implement integrated aviation ecosystem solutions including cargo, ground handling, digital operations, and airport development.
• Stay ahead of trends in air mobility and sustainable aviation to position OAI as an innovation leader.
• Pursue MoUs and joint ventures with technology providers, industrial zone partners, and advanced air mobility companies.

Investment and Financial Management

• Evaluate and oversee airport investments, including financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, and post-investment management.
• Optimize capital deployment and risk management to deliver strong financial and strategic returns.
• Maintain rigorous financial governance and transparency.

Leadership and Organizational Development

• Build and lead a globally experienced executive team and operational network.
• Foster a high-performance culture with emphasis on accountability, agility, innovation, and local market adaptability.
• Develop internal capabilities for global project execution, stakeholder engagement, and technical expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business, or Economics; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in airport operations, infrastructure, aviation strategy, with at least 7 years in leadership position or international role.
• Experience leading global airport concession bids, acquisitions, or major aviation infrastructure programs.
• Experience with emerging market operations, public-private partnerships, and stakeholder engagement with governments or multilateral institutions.
• Understanding of commercial aviation services and airport ecosystems (ground services, retail, cargo, digital).
