How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for complex problem-solving in service delivery, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to design and implement innovative solutions for optical network technologies.
  • Conduct detailed analysis on signal impairments, modulation/demodulation techniques, and signal structures to enhance network performance.
  • Lead small-scale projects focused on network integration and optimization within budget and timelines.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address escalated issues and recommend serviceability improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements to ensure service offerings remain competitive and efficient.
  • Document processes and present findings to stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of network integration and technical support experience with optical network technologies
  • Expertise in fiber types and signal impairments (loss, dispersion, mixing)
  • Strong knowledge of modulation/demodulation techniques (OOK, PSK, QAM)
  • Familiarity with signal structures and hierarchies (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SONET, SDH, OTN)
  • Experience with OTN, DWDM, and SDH networks, reliability, and resiliency analysis

It would be nice if you also had:
  • Technical knowledge/experience with specific DWDM technologies - 1830 PSS and WSNOC
