Role Summary:

1. Apply approved standards, procedures, and schedules to ensure the reliability and integrity of plant equipment and systems in the allocated area.
2. Implement scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on relevant equipment, ensuring all work history and data are entered into the CMMS system.
3. Generate testing protocols, certificates, and documentation in line with standards, linking them to respective equipment within the CMMS.
4. Ensure application of standards, procedures, and schedules for plant reliability and integrity in accordance with company guidelines.
5. Place and remove spades, open and close pipe flanges, recognize gasket types, bolts, and nuts.
6. Carry out flange tightening by hydraulic torquing and tensioning methods.
7. Perform proper slinging and lifting with chain-blocks and small cranes.
8. Remove and reinstall rotating equipment such as pumps and motors.
9. Replace mechanical seals in pumps and compressors.
10. Obtain machine clearances and dimensional data for rotating equipment.
11. Acquire PTW certificates and fulfill PTW holder responsibilities.
12. Work extended hours and respond to call-outs as required.
13. Certify flange tightening, rigging, and slinging.

Requirements:

1. Education: Degree, HND, or Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent.
2. Experience: Over 10 years in mechanical maintenance within the petrochemical, oil and gas, or power generation industries.
3. Skills:
   • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) to IELTS standards.
   • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Windows; good understanding of maintenance management systems.
   • Trained and experienced in the alignment of rotating equipment using reverse dial gauges and laser alignment tools.
   • Leadership skills to guide less experienced technicians.
   • Ability to properly pull-up gland packing and replace it.
   • Knowledge of spare parts identification and management.
